This is my collection of healthy recipes that are family friendly, tasty, easy and fun! All are SUGAR FREE, I use healthy fats, easy to digest grains and lots of veggies. Most recipes fit into eating plans written by Haylie Pomroy- The Fast Metabolism Diet Plan, Metabolism Revolution, Food Rx Plans and Burn plans. I did not write these plans, I do not own the plans. These are my recipes I use for those plans. Of course, you don't have to be on a plan to eat these yummy recipes!
Cinnamon Pecan Butter - Phase 3
I think this spread tastes like Christmas. It is really good on toast. I can't wait to try this on pancakes and waffles and with pretzels! What a delicious healthy fat!
This takes no time to make. Blend this to the smoothness you prefer by adjusting the oil amount. Change the amount of cinnamon and sweetener. Coconut oil adds another layer of flavor. Grapeseed oil works beautifully, also. Make this your own.
Cinnamon Pecan Butter
1 1/2 cups pecans
1 cup raw cashews
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
1-2 tsp xylitol or stevia equivalent
1/2 tsp alcohol free vanilla extract
1/4 cup melted coconut oil or grapeseed oil
Blend the nuts, cinnamon, sweetener to a find grind in a food processor or blender. Scrape down the sides. Add half the oil and vanilla, and blend until you get the consistency you want. Add remaining oil, if needed to get to it.
Scrape into jar with a lid. Enjoy!
